UP AN OCTAVE
Artsenta presented... UP AN OCTAVE , a community display of art and musical paraphernalia, at the Dunedin Community Gallery, 6 – 10 May. It featured displays of re-imagined album covers and art made from vinyl records and cassette tapes, and a return of the highly popular art exchange, where members of the public had the opportunity to create a CD sized art work to exchange for one on display.There were informal performances which had the place rocking at times and many members of the public took up the opportunity to try our conventional and unconventional instruments. Timed to coincide with NZ Music Month, Artsenta artists took over the gallery for what turned out to be a really fun week. Two lucky people won a neat prize in the music quiz.
