MIke Hay

I first started coming to Artsenta in the year 2000, so have been coming on and off for 18 years. Painting is my favourite medium to do, using mostly acrylic paint but I have also dabbled in oil as well. I mostly do paintings of made up imagery from my head and enjoy producing "a big brooding sky" in most of my work.

I have lived in Dunedin since 1982 (36 years) and love the ever changing moods of the weather. I am also a dad. I think the people at Artsenta are great, there is lots of fun stuff to explore in an awesome environment. I paint because it relaxes me and it gives an outlet to express my creative juices.
